From as early as my memory can conjure, I have been a very passionate and romantic person intensely attracted to many different mediums of art. What attracted me to the art of photography was the unique from of mutual artistic participation it provided. When a person hires me to photograph them, they themselves become the work of art, and being able to present this art back to them and see the pleased and suprised looks on their faces is a great joy for me.

As a photographer, I am invited to take part in some very special moments in the lives of my clients, moments I am, in a sense, collecting in order to lend them “picture permanence”. A photographic witness is one that endures the test of time and can be delighted in many times over. There is a lot of job satisfaction in that!

When I don’t have a camera strapped around my neck, you might find me wandering through fresh, green, soggy coastal rainforests or lining my pockets with lovely seashells from my favorite beaches – a Vancouver Native and West Coast Girl to the marrow of my bones! Among many various and unrelated things, I am a birth doula, a medical transcriptionist, an aunt, a vegetarian, a piano player (never enjoyed the word “pianist” all that much), a singer/songwriter, a book worm, and a woman who enjoys life immensely and relies sturdily on gratitude to influence my perspective.
